Walkway opens on Roebling Suspension Bridge

A new pedestrian walkway opens today on the Roebling Suspension Bridge, providing a new link for walkers from downtown Cincinnati to Covington over the Ohio River.

The Roebling Bridge Pedestrian Connector loops Downtown to the riverfront, and Cincinnati to Covington. The walkway connects Theodore M. Berry Way and Walnut Street Fountain at the Cincinnati Riverfront access point.

The connector is part of the infrastructure development of The Banks Project geared toward making the area more walkable.

Elected officials and transportation officials from Cincinnati, Covington and Ohio Kentucky Indiana Regional Council of Governments and other agencies will celebrate the bi-state, inter-city connector milestone with a 3 p.m. ribbon cutting ceremony.
