Retail space at The Banks is just about completely leased, and by this summer nearly every square foot will be occupied.
After Yard House, located at 75 E. Freedom Way, opens Sunday, March 24, there are a few more tenants lined up to open their doors.
Next up for The Banks, Jimmy John’s is scheduled to open April 1. Located at 171 E. Freedom Way, this will be the first quick-service restaurant at the development. Jimmy John’s fills a 1,147-square-foot space.
After that, Jefferson Social, a neighborhood bar and restaurant that will serve Mexican street food, is scheduled to open at the southeast corner of Walnut Street and Freedom Way the first week of June. It will fill a more than 4,000-square-foot space located 101 E. Freedom Way. This concept comes from Tony Cafeo, who also owns Jefferson Hall at Newport on the Levee and Incline Public House in Price Hill.
The only remaining space is a 7,200-square-foot space along Walnut Street. Laura Swadel, vice president with Carter, part of the master development team for The Banks, said it’s likely this space will be filled by a restaurant or bar/entertainment user.
One other retail site is available as part of the first phase of The Banks. There is a restaurant pad across from Yard House that is actively being marketed for a user.
Open retail establishments are The Holy Grail, Tin Roof, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Johnny Rockets, Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill, Orange Leaf, Crave, Mahogany’s, WG Kitchen & Bar and the Police Welcome Center.
