Sandwich lovers, take note: A new Jimmy John’s will open at the Banks on Cincinnati’s riverfront in April 2013.
The Banks’ master development team of Carter and the Dawson Co., both based in Atlanta, and their equity partner USAA made the announcement this morning.
Jimmy John’s will occupy 1,147 square feet on the south block of Freedom Way, according to a news release. The gourmet sandwich shop touts its “fresh ingredients, friendly service, low prices and fast delivery.” Jimmy John’s has more than 1,200 locations across the U.S.
“The addition of Jimmy John’s helps round out the ‘something for everyone’ atmosphere at The Banks,” Scott Stringer, executive vice President at Carter, said in the news release. “It will be another great option for those who are downtown looking for lunch or something quick.”
The addition of the new restaurant makes Phase 1A of The Banks 89 percent leased. The project has only two retail spaces still available, according to the release. That phase of the project also includes 300 apartments, a revised street grid and a parking garage.
Already open at the riverfront development are: The Holy Grail, Tin Roof, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, Johnny Rockets, Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar and Grill, Orange Leaf, Crave, Mahogany’s and the Police Welcome Center. Signed but yet to open are The Wine Guy Bar & Bistro and Yard House Restaurant.
Retail at the development has brought more than 300 new jobs to the region and $600 million in investment, according to the release.
