The next phase of The Banks – a nine-story apartment building with first-floor retail – has been announced.
It will have approximately 305 apartments ranging from 615 and 1,300 square feet and about 21,000 square feet of retail space, according to developers. The development will fill the block from Rosa Parks to Race Street between Freedom Way and Second Street.
Construction on Phase IIA is slated to begin in December and be completed in the fall of 2015.
The retail portion of the first phase is now 91 percent leased, with only one space still available for occupancy. The residential portion is 100 percent leased and occupied.
Carter and The Dawson Co. are developing the project in cooperation with Hamilton County and the city of Cincinnati.
City Council’s Budget and Finance Committee will consider proposed amendments to The Banks Master Development Agreement for Phase IIA today, and the Hamilton County commissioners will consider the matter Aug. 21.
