Planners unveiled new images this week of what the next phase of the Banks riverfront development will look like. The images show a courtyard at the project and how explain how developers plan to incorporate an office pad into Phase IIA without leaving a gap in the development, as they did in Phase I.
Phase IIA is expected to include a nine-story apartment building with about 305 apartments and 21,000 square feet of retail space on the block between Rosa Parks Drive, Race Street, Freedom Way and Second Street. Officials also recently decided if developers Carter Dawson can’t land office tenants for the second phase of the Banks project, they might consider putting another hotel there.
No matter what fills the space, developers are planning to have the second phase of the Banks project complete by the time the Major League Baseball All Star Game comes to Cincinnati in 2015.
