General Electric has selected The Banks to locate a new global operations center, a move that could bring 1,400 plus jobs to downtown.
Mason and Oakley were also in the running, but sources told FOX19 Investigates that negotiations were finalized on Wednesday to open the center at The Banks.
An official announcement is reportedly set for Friday.
The plan to open the center in Greater Cincinnati was made public in April and called “the biggest announcement of job creation in 10 years” by Ohio Governor John Kasich.
The Bengals recently agreed to waive height restrictions for buildings at The Banks, opening the door for new developments.
Initial reports indicated GE was planning to break ground on the facility this summer and have it fully operational by 2017.
