Bockfest at Moerlein Lager House

Bockfest is Cincinnati’s annual celebration of Spring and Bock Beer. Celebrate Cincinnati’s rich brewing tradition at the Moerlein Lager House Bockfest Beer Experience, featuring Bock beers from all participating Bockfest breweries.

Friday, March 6th, 11am-10pm

  • 11am – 6pm Official Bockfest Happy Hour Kick-off
  • Noon Bockfest Happy Hour Keg Tapping with Bockfest Dignitaries and tapping the Bockfest Brewing Champions Beer
  • Noon – 4pm and 7:30-10pm Jim Effler Bockfest Experience Gallery with all 31 previous Bockfest Images and other Effler Paintings
  • Noon – 10pm Bockfest Bock Beer Experience all 31 Bock Beers Available Plus Emancipator Doppelbock from the Lager House
  • 2 – 4pm Photo Opp Sausage Queen Meet and Greet and meet all the finals contestants and past winners.
  • 8 – 11pm Cry Baby Goat Calling Championship with Celebrity Judges. Click Here To Sign Up
  • 6pm – 10pm Bock Beer Experience $30 gets you 10 – 5oz samples and a bottled water. For $15 more get a commemorative Stein.  All BOCKFEST Beers on tap.

Saturday March 7th 11am – 10pm

  • 11am – 2pm – BOCKFEST Brunch with the Polka Warriors Band. 
  • 12pm – 9pm –  Bock Beer Experience $30 gets you 10 – 5oz samples and a bottled water. For $15 more get a commemorative Stein. All BOCKFEST Beers on tap.
  • 2pm – 6pm – Zinzinnati Bierband
  • Noon – 9pm – Bockfest Bock Beer Experience – all 31 Bock Beers Available Plus Emancipator Doppelbock from The Lager House
  • 1pm – 7pm – Jim Effler Bockfest Experience Gallery with all 31 previous Bockfest Images and other Effler Paintings
  • 3pm – 4pm – Bockfest/Brewer’s Olympics. Hosted by Those German Guys.
  • 4pm – 5:30pm – United States Steinholding Association Steinholding National Qualifier for Men and Women & Bockfest Championship  (open to all, Men, Women) REGISTER HERE
  • 5pm – Bock Beer Competition winner announcements and award ceremony
  • 5pm (Homebrew and Commercial winner) Rob Westendorf MC
  • 6pm-9pm BOCKFEST Dinner Buffet with Jake Speed and the Freddies

Sunday March 8th 11am-7pm

  • 11am – 2pm Bockfest Brunch
  • Noon – 7pm Bockfest Bock Beer Experience – $30 gets you 10 – 5oz samples and a bottled water. For $15 more get a commemorative Stein.  All 31 Bock Beers Available Plus Emancipator Doppelbock from The Lager House

  • Noon – 7pm Continental Sunday Presented by the German-American Citizens League. Continental Sunday is the German-American way of celebrating Sunday afternoons. Historically, in Cincinnati, this was a time for an afternoon with family and friends for festivities, fun, frolic, and Gemütlichkeit. Come celebrate BOCKFEST’s version of Continental Sunday at The Lager House.
  • 1:30pm Welcome ceremony with the Continental Sunday traditional Keg Tapping and introduction of all German Club’s flags
  • 1pm – 5pm Jim Effler Bockfest Experience Gallery with all 31 previous Bockfest Images and other Effler Paintings
  • German Entertainment
